From May 16th to 18th, a 6 person delegation headed by President Zhou Yu visited the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, the Northwestern University and the University of Chicago.
On May 16th, the HIT delegation visited the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. During the visit, the delegation have an discussion with President Robert Jones, vice president of international affairs, Ritumisa Mabokra, and vice president of undergraduate teaching, Jade Taylor. The two sides achieved initial cooperation intent on mode and innovation of personnel training and the industrialization of scientific research between the two universities.During the visit, the delegation also visited the school of engineering and the school of Arts and Sciences of the university, and conducted discussions and exchanges on expanding the field of cooperation with relevant officials.
On May 17th, the delegation visited the Northwestern University, and met and discussed with the vice president of international affairs, Kim Lape, and relevant officials in charge of the project, and reached a preliminary intention on the establishment of undergraduate cooperative project. During the visit, the delegation also visited the student entrepreneurship center of Northwestern University.
On May 18th, the delegation visited the University of Chicago, and met and discussed with the vice president of scientific innovation and administrative, Eric Isaacs, and the assistant vice president of scientific research, reaching a preliminary intention on the establishment of undergraduate cooperative project. The two sides will strengthen in-depth cooperation in discipline construction and student training.
