HIT Team Won the First Prize of National College Students Geotechnical Engineering Competition

In the final session of the second National College Students Geotechnical Engineering Competition, the HIT representative team including undergraduates (enrolled in 2015) Wu Jinfeng, Ma Minchao and Qu Haigang from the School of Civil Engineering, and Tang Liang as leader won the first prize of the competition.

The competition was hosted by the National Higher School Civil Engineering Discipline Teaching Steering Committee and China Civil Engineering Society, and organized by Hohai University and other contractors. It attracted the participation of 66 colleges and universities ranging from Tsinghua University, to Tongji University and other colleges and universities, until there were 30 college and university teams getting to the final. Taking “Building the Columella” as the title, our team won the first prize through their intense completion of the design plan, model production, loading test as well as the model quality and other aspects.
