The First China-Russia Forum on Science and Technology was held at the HIT

HIT News (Zhou Weixing /Text Lanrui /Images) From October 15th to 17th, the first China-Russia Forum on Science and Technology was held at HIT. It was co-sponsored by the National Foreign Experts Bureau, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Russian Academy of Sciences, and jointly hosted by HIT, the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the National University of Moscow Lomonosov. Xia Mingjiu, member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, Shi Zhaohui, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of Heilongjiang Province, He Yanchun, Deputy Director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and Ren Nanqi, Vice President of the HIT, attended the opening ceremony. Before the opening ceremony, Ren Nanqi met with eight academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences/Representatives of the Communications Academy. Ren Nanqi and Muzafflov Aziz, Director of the Nasmeyanov Institute of Organic Elemental Compounds and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, addressed the opening ceremony as the Chinese and Russian Forum Chairmen. At the meeting, a memorandum on the China-Russia joint simulation platform was signed.

With the theme of “Scientific Intensive Technology: From Exploration to Application”, this Science and Technology Forum aimed to build an open platform for Chinese and Russian academic communication, in order for talented individuals in technology to exchange knowledge and for a more precise cooperation in science and technology. The forum invited 48 academicians and experts from the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Research of the National University of Moscow Lomonosov, including experts in the fields of chemistry and materials, energy, biological and electronic information, and mathematics. After the opening ceremony, academicians and experts from Russia made reports.

The forum reached a cooperation intention in the fields of nuclear energy and chemical industry. At the same time, in terms of energy and power, Ren Nanqi, on behalf of the Harbin Institute of Technology, signed a memorandum on the China-Russia joint simulation platform, in which the Russian Institute of Chemical Physics, the National University of Moscow Lomonosov Computing Research Center, and the National University of Moscow Lomonosov Departments of Physics and Chemical Engineering will also participate. Both the Chinese and Russian sides intend to carry out in-depth cooperation research on parallel simulation models and algorithms, multi-phase and multi-physics heat-flow-mass transfer calculation model establishment, and optimization and development on the China-Russia joint simulation platform.
