HIT News (Lu Qianqian / Text Huangcong / Picture) On November 5th, the “Overseas Academic Master” Appointment Ceremony for Professor Reinhold Schuch of Stockholm University, Sweden, hosted by the “Space Environment and Material Effect Discipline Innovation and Foreign Knowledge Introduction Base” was held in Conference Room 101 of the Administration Building. Guo Bin, Vice President of HIT, the Chief Commander of the Big Science Special Construction Project Headquarters, and the head of the Space Environment and Material Effect Discipline Innovation and Foreign Knowledge Introduction Base, issued the letter of appointment to Professor Reinhold Schuch. The two sides exchanged views on scientific research cooperation and work tasks concerning the Foreign Knowledge Introduction Base.
Professor Reinhold Schuch is a world-renowned experimental physicist, a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, and a member of the Nobel Jury Committee who has long been committed to experimental work related to atomic physics, and has won the Roentgen Award and the Distinguished Scientist Award from the Japan Institute of Physical Chemistry. Professor Reinhold Schuch is the tenth overseas expert invited to HIT by the “Space Environment and Material Effect Discipline Innovation and Foreign Knowledge Introduction Base” in 2018. The Foreign Knowledge Introduction Base is designed to serve the deep development of the construction of “space environment ground simulation devices” and scientific research activities in related disciplines, thus enabling them to realize scientific and social benefits as early as possible.
Relevant personnel from the International Cooperation Department and the Big Science Engineering Headquarters attended the ceremony.
