Harbin Institute of Technology Newspaper (Liu Zhongkui, Ji Xing/text, Liu Zhongkui, Ji Xing, Sun Linxiang, A Siru, Chen Zelong, Sun Bohao, Liu Yuanyuan, Huang Cong/photograph) On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8th, our university held a series of activities to celebrate this holiday. The Health Forum was also officially launched. Li Hong, President of Harbin No.1 Hospital affiliated to Harbin Institute of Technology, and An Shi, Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology, delivered a speech at the launching ceremony. An Shi awarded prizes to the keynote speakers of the Health Forum. Wu Songquan, Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, attended the relevant activities.

There were relaxing and interesting games, such as "piggy ring toss", "piggy run" and "piggy bowling". There were also some other exciting games requiring skills, like "piggy shooting" and "blind man feels hog snouts". Hearty laughter, delighted faces, the ease of collecting prizes—all show that every female faculty member is a happy goddess. In addition, our university also prepared a series of activities, such as a special film performance for female faculty, "makeup and skin care" salon, "charming women's sweet life" food exhibition, reading activities, and classes held by the Association for Faculty.

Experts from Harbin No.1 Hospital affiliated to Harbin Institute of Technology attended the Health Forum, bringing a series of lectures on prevention and treatment of common diseases of women to the majority of female teachers. At the same time, experts from more than 10 departments, such as the Department of Cardiology, conducted free clinics in the lobby on the first floor of the activity center to provide medical treatment and health consultation for the faculty and students. Experts meticulously provided professional diagnosis and treatment services for every female faculty member who came for examination, and gave reasonable suggestions and professional guidance according to their personal conditions.

The schools also organized a variety of celebrations. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Computer Sciences held a floral training class. The School of Transportation organized a flower arrangement art lecture. The School of Foreign Languages carried out activities, sending flowers to female faculty.

The Weihai Campus and Shenzhen Campus also carried out a variety of interesting activities to celebrate this holiday, such as playing charades, a singing competition, kicking shuttlecock, handing out film tickets, etc.
