Harbin Institute of Technology News (XIAO Ke /Text/Photo) On the afternoon of April 28, our school's ninth "Zuguang Cup" Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held its closing ceremony in the school stadium. Vice President AN Shi and Assistant President PENG Yuankui attended the closing ceremony and presented awards to the winning team and individuals. 

The competition is co-sponsored by the Student Affairs Department/Youth League Committee, the Undergraduate College, and the Graduate School, and hosted by the School of Mechatronics Engineering. With the theme of "Innovating for a New Era, Winning a Century of Entrepreneurial Struggle", 820 entries were registered since the competition was launched in March. After preliminary examination by experts, a total of 228 entries entered the final competition. The finals were divided into three categories—creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship—and covered the areas of machinery and control, information technology, energy and chemical engineering, life sciences, mathematics and physics, society, law, philosophy, and other professional fields. In the end, 16 gold, 18 silver, and 38 bronze medals were awarded. Gold medal winning projects included "Artificial Intelligence-based Online Conference Solution", "A Dual Continuous Structure Carbon/Ceramic Composite Material Resistant to Extreme Thermal/Mechanical Coupling Environment", "Development of Recycled Poultry Feather Protein Spinning Technology", "Way of Straw Resource Utilization--Based on Investigation and Analysis of 63 Villages in 5 Districts and Counties of Heilongjiang Province", "Lightweight Combat Robot--Based on Radio Frequency Security Technology” and so on. The School of Mechatronics Engineering won the "Zuguang Cup" with the first place in the total score.
