On June 2, the 10th Construction Festival and the 2019 "One Hundred Years of Beauty" Plastic Hollow Panel Architectural Design and Construction Competition was held in the square in front of the library on Campus One of HIT. YAO Limin, deputy secretary of the HIT Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, attended the opening ceremony and made a speech.
42 teams from six universities and nine key senior high schools in Heilongjiang province all displayed their talents. In just eight hours, 42 "dream houses" emerged from the ground, leaving mottled shadows in the sunlight. Architects created works of different shapes and various elements, with titles such as Flower Road, Shadow Seeking, Return to the Pavilion, Jade Flowers, and Starry River. People were attracted to visit and experience the beauty and joy of the buildings in a space made of white pvc plastic hollow panels.
The topic of this construction festival was how to create a community which can not only promote communication and campus cultural identity, but also reflect the perfect combination and interactive development of "art and science" in the modern campus. After evaluation, the works of Northeast Forestry University’s Ying Lian and our school’s Ju Yuan won the first prize in the university group, and the work of Heiilongjiang Provincial Experimental Middle School’s Long Ji won the first prize in the middle school group.
