A group of our school leaders paid a visit to the staff members on duty and the students staying on campus during the Spring Festival to express their best wishes for the new year on January 24th, among whom were GUO Bin (Vice President), AN Shi (Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee of our school and Vice President), WU Songquan (member of the standing committee of the CPC Committee of our school and Director of Propoganda), SHEN Yi (Assistant President) and FAN Feng (Assistant President).
In order to better learn about how things on campus and the battle with the coronavirus were going, they covered a lot of departments, such as the general duty office, the first campus, the second campus, the security office for the science park, the power substation, the property management center, student dormitories, and canteens, where they went to make sure the Spring Festival Eve dinner would be prepared properly for the students. The school leaders expressed their gratitude and best wishes to the staff and their families who were still busy during the Spring Festival, and thanked them for their conscientious work. Meanwhile, they urged everyone to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, and have a safe and peaceful Spring Festival.
We know that there are more than one thousand Chinese and foreign students staying in our school this year. In order to strengthen the prevention and control of the epidemic, the school canceled the large-scale dinner on the New Year's Eve, and provided free, sumptuous New Year's Eve dinners and family meals in the student cafeterias on both the first and second campuses for the first three days of the first lunar month. School leaders encouraged the students on campus with the unique family and country feelings and scientific spirit of Harbin Institute of Technology, encouraging them to rationally face the epidemic, scientifically prevent its spreading, and enhance the awareness of disease prevention and self-protection ability so as to make this special winter holidays meaningful and fruitful.
Responsible officers of each relevant unit of the school also joined in the visit.
