HIT and RWTH Aachen Held the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Cooperation and Student Exchange Agreement Between the Two Universities

On the afternoon of December 3, HIT held an online symposium on strategic partnership with RWTH Aachen. Zhou Yu, President of HIT and Ulrich Rüdiger, Rector of RWTH Aachen University signed the memorandum of cooperation and student exchange agreement between the two universities on behalf of both sides. The ceremony was co-presided over by Fan Feng, assistant President of HIT, and Marquis Jose, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, RWTH Aachen University.

In his speech, Zhou Yu said that since the signing of the first cooperation agreement in 2015, the two universities have had in-depth exchanges in student training, curriculum development, scientific research and innovation. Although affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, many offline activities cannot be carried out on schedule, the cooperation between the two universities has continued to advance. In particular, since July this year, the Sino-German Future School of Communications project has been carried out in an orderly manner, and the cooperation between the two sides has expanded from the major in civil engineering to multi-discipline and multi-school.

Ulrich Rüdiger spoke highly of the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two universities in the past five years. He said that HIT is a very important partner of RWTH Aachen and he looks forward to more in-depth and lasting cooperation between the two sides. He also invited President Zhou Yu and teachers of HIT to visit RWTH Aachen at an appropriate time to participate in a series of activities for the 150th anniversary of the founding of RWTH Aachen.
