From July 31st to August 5th, the 20th Chinese College Students Athletics Championships was held in Zhejiang University. Students of HIT have made great achievements in the championships. The female athletes Liu Le, Ma Shuyu, Zhao Yuechao and Zhao Jiaming won the women’s Group C championship in 46 seconds 48 in the 4×100m relay race, breaking the record for college students in Heilongjiang Province (48 seconds 50) and the record of HIT (48 seconds 70), which had been kept for 15 years. The male athlete Zhang Jingqiang won the long jump champion in the men’s Group D with the achievement of 7.81 meters, which is his third long jump champion in the national competition this year after the men’s long jump champion in the National Games Qualifying Tournament and the long jump champion in the 14th National Student Sports Games; Yang Zihao won the second place in men's Group C Javelin with the achievement of 66.88 meters; Wu Xihe won the second place in the men's Group D high jump with the achievement of 2.10 meters.
This competition is jointly organized by Federation of University Sports of China and Chinese Athletics Association, executed by Track and Field Federation of University Sports of China, and held by Zhejiang University. There were 18 athletes from HIT, including 12 male athletes and 6 female athletes. They have also made great achievements in the competitions of 100m, 200m, 1500m, 400m hurdles, 3000m steeplechase,high jump and other competitions.
