Recently, the 2019 China-Russia Science and Technology Innovation Day opened in Harbin. At the opening ceremony, HUANG Wei, deputy minister of Science and Technology of China, Troopnikov Gregory, first deputy minister of Education and Science(Russia), CHENG Zhiming, vice governor of Heilongjiang Province, SUN Zhe, mayor of Harbin, and other distinguished guests witnessed the official launch of the ASRTU communication programme of technological and scientific innovation, which is jointly sponsored by HIT and Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The start of the programme was announced by FAN Feng, deputy executive director of ASRTU and assistant principle of HIT, and Korshunov Sergei, executive director of ASRTU and vice president of Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
This programme will focus on AI, big data, new materials, polar research, technology transfer, and innovation and entrepreneurship. Based on the China-Russia Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the ASRTU International Technology Transfer Center, the University-Enterprise Science and Technology Industry Platform, the International Academic Exchange Platform, and the High-end Joint Scientific Research Platform, the programme will further stimulate the innovative abilities of Chinese and Russian youth, expand creative thinking, enhance creative enthusiasm, and cultivate entrepreneurial talents, thus promoting practical cooperation in technological and scientific innovation between the two countries.
The theme of the 2019 China-Russia Science and Technology Innovation Day was “Gathering new drivers of China-Russia scientific and technological cooperation to create a new pattern for mutual benefit and win-win cooperation”. The activity was hosted by the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Sub-committee of the Committee on Regular Meetings between the Heads of Government of China and Russia, and co-organized by the Harbin Municipal People’s Government, the Science and Technology Department of Heilongjiang Province, the Harbin New District administration committee, and the International Union of Information and Communication Technology Instrument Manufacturers. The Science and Technology Innovation Day sponsored a series of activities, including a one-on-one matchmaking meeting of Sino-Russian scientific and technological cooperation, the fifth Sino-Russian Round Table on Scientific and Technological Cooperation and Technology Transfer, an exhibition of Sino-Russian scientific and technological cooperation achievements, and the 2019 Sino-Russian High-end International Conference on Catalysis.
