The finals of the 2025 China International College Studentss' Innovation Competition (CICSIC) were held at Zhengzhou University from Oct 12 to 15.
Students from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT)'s three campuses won a total of 13 gold medals and 21 silver medals. Both the total number of projects reaching the finals and the number of gold medals set new records for HIT.

A total of 6.19 million projects and 24.43 million participants from 5,673 institutions across 161 countries and regions participated in the competition in 2025, with 4,720 projects making it to the finals.
HIT students won seven gold medals in the higher education main track and six gold medals in the industry track. Three projects advanced to the gold medal ranking competition in the higher education main track.
Since preparations for CICSIC 2025 began in January, HIT's Party committee has placed heavy emphasis on the event. Relevant departments held multiple meetings to discuss and coordinate related work. The School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship established a support system for the competition, organized training camps inviting external mentors of innovation and entrepreneurship to give specialized lectures and training, and conducted multiple rounds of selection.
