The 22nd China National Computer Congress (CNCC2025), organized by the China Computer Federation (CCF) and co-hosted by Harbin Engineering University (HEU) and Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), was held in Harbin from Oct 22 to 25.
The event brought together top scholars, industry leaders, young students, and representatives of international organizations involved in computers, with 4.85 million people watching via live stream.
The event featured 19 keynote speeches, three plenary forums, and 154 thematic forums covering nine themes, including foundational AI models. The first CCF Computer Exhibition (CCE) was also held. HIT hosted the CCF Award Ceremony, chaired the plenary forums, and organized over 40 sub-forums.
During the event, HIT, in collaboration with other universities, research institutes, and enterprises, released the Comprehensive Evaluation of Large Model Generated Content (2025) and Development and Safety of Intelligent Agents (2025) reports. They also launched the 2.0 version of Tiangong Kaiwu, the first approved agricultural large model registered with the Cyberspace Administration of China.

Han Jiecai, President of HIT, reviewed the development history of HIT's computer science discipline in his speech. He stated that the China National Computer Congress is a crucial platform for promoting the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation. HIT will work with all parties to deepen the research and innovation in the computer field, strengthen research collaboration between enterprises and universities, and promote the application of scientific and technological achievements, contributing HIT's wisdom and strength to the advancement of China's computer industry.

The first CCF Computer Exhibition was held alongside the event. The exhibition featured 20 special booths and 81 regular booths. HIT's booth showcased the development history and achievements of its four computer-related disciplines: computer science and technology, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and cyberspace security.
Zhang Qixiang visited HIT's booth, learning about the university's technological innovations and industrialization efforts, and commended HIT's contributions.
