Liu Yong, a 2001 graduate of the Faculty of Computing at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), founded the Fanyou-Online Technology Co in 2020, which was later developed under his leadership into one of “Sichuan provincial specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises”. He was also named one of Top 10 Young Entrepreneurs of Sichuan Province, an honor that recognized his exemplary efforts to transfer scientific and technological achievements into applications serving China’s modernization.

As a HIT junior, Liu led a team to participate in the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest in 2003, where they developed an intelligent logistics system featuring GPS tracking, RFID chips, and custom-written Linux drivers. Liu and his team won third prize in the competition, gaining valuable partners and the courage to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors.

After graduating from HIT in 2005, Liu worked in the Ethiopian wilderness, where he and his team members spent three years building a CDMA communication network across the country, which became one of the most developed communication networks in Africa.

In Europe, Liu took on multiple projects, leading a team to launch the LTE project in Belgium nine months ahead of schedule. In 2014, he held positions at NASDAQ:CYOU and Baidu. As the director of Overseas User Operations at NASDAQ:CYOU, he established an overseas user operating system covering 10 countries, including the United States, in less than a year.

In 2017, Liu returned to Chengdu and developed a business model for an energy internet platform, achieving a product launch in just three months and generating over a million yuan in revenue within a month.

Liu Yong founds Fanyou-Online Technology (Chengdu) Co.
His experience with Tencent's content review AI platform further solidified his belief in AI's potential. In October 2020, Liu Yong founded Fanyou Online Technology (Chengdu) Co, which has since grown into a comprehensive tech internet company encompassing digital entertainment, artificial intelligence, smart health, and investment sectors.

Liu Yong is named one of the 'Top 10 Young Entrepreneurs of Sichuan Province' in 2023.
He places great importance on nurturing talent at his alma mater, building a bridge between universities and the Southwest industrial belt, and actively sharing his experiences at the HIT Western Region Alumni Development Seminar.
