The 2025 China-Italy University Presidents' Dialogue was recently held in Beijing.
Shuai Yong, vice-president of the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), attended the dialogue, where he and representatives of Polytechnic University of Turin jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of the International Joint Research Center for Intelligent Perception and Computational Design of Habitable Environments.
Shuai delivered a speech, emphasizing that HIT places great importance on collaboration with Italian universities. He stated that HIT would continue to make use of its academic and platform advantages, focusing on key areas such as sustainable development, and would deepen China-Italy higher education collaboration with Italian universities in talent cultivation, platform building, and collaborative innovation.

During his stay in Beijing, Shuai held discussions with Oliviero Diliberto, the representative for Chinese affairs from Sapienza University of Rome, Giuliano Noci, vice-president for Chinese Affairs from Polytechnic University of Milan, Elena Baralis, the vice-president from Polytechnic University of Turin, and their delegations.
