A delegation led by President Maysa Furlan from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) visited the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) on Nov 26. HIT President Han Jiecai met with the delegation and signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of HIT.

Han expressed hope for deepening practical cooperation in areas such as materials science, making use of joint laboratories and other platforms to harness intellectual and research strengths and enhance the strategic value of the China-Brazil community of shared destiny.
Maysa emphasized UNESP's commitment to collaborating with HIT, noting that this visit is intended to strengthen cooperation in areas such as faculty exchanges and to foster Sino-Brazilian friendship and bilateral relations.

According to the agreement, both universities will engage in comprehensive cooperation in areas like faculty and student exchanges and talent development.
During their visit, the delegation explored HIT's museum and aerospace museum and participated in discussions on advancing international collaboration mechanisms among universities.
