More than 100 faculty members and students from more than 30 universities across Germany, Russia, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), and Macao SAR, recently gathered at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) for the inaugural Global Winter School.
Held at the School of Future Technology, the Global Winter School, co-hosted by HIT and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), is themed "Bridging Harbin & Hong Kong, forging an autonomous future" and centers on the core topic of "autonomous intelligent systems", including cutting-edge academic lectures, specialized courses, innovation projects, and campus life experiences.

HIT's School of Architecture and Design welcomed faculty and students from more than 10 domestic and international universities. Beyond seminars, attendees joined the sixth HIT International School Snow Construction Festival, where they visualized architectural concepts through snow art. Off-campus tours to the 27th Harbin Ice and Snow World, the Chinese Baroque Historical and Cultural Preservation Areas, and the Harbin Grand Theater showcased the city’s architectural heritage and urban charm.
