The Business School at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) is launching its high-level faculty recruitment (first cohort) and is inviting applications from qualified instructors with demonstrated teaching ability, professional expertise, and enthusiasm for education to undertake course teaching responsibilities. This will help cultivate next-generation tech-integrated business talent for strategic emerging industries and technology-based enterprises, and utilize the potential of faculty within and outside the university.
The Business School has developed nearly 20 tech-integrated business programs offering over 70 industry-focused courses. Throughout 2025, the school provided more than 500 classes across nearly 110 courses, totaling 10,000 instructional hours. The school has engaged more than 410 high-level instructors in teaching and training activities, including more than 260 internal faculty members from 12 schools across the university, as well as from the Weihai and Shenzhen campuses, and from research institutes in Chongqing, Zhengzhou, and Suzhou. Additionally, we have organized 20 global classroom sessions, over 60 lectures by international experts, and more than 100 frontier-industry innovation camps, seminars, and corporate visits in areas such as smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and cross-border e-commerce, enriching and deepening tech-integrated business.
Eligibility:
This initiative is open to all HIT faculty (active and retired), industry mentors, outstanding HIT alumni worldwide, and other qualified external instructors who meet the university's teaching access criteria. Applicants can apply individually or as a course team (those led by active internal faculty are preferred). Selected instructors will receive competitive compensation. Those who demonstrate outstanding teaching performance and who contribute to the tech-integrated business ecosystem will receive additional support for teaching resource allocation and course development projects.
Application Requirements:
1. Support the national education policies, possess a passion for education, maintain good professional ethics and conduct, and have no record of professional misconduct.
2. Possess relevant teaching experience or professional industry experience.
3. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience at renowned domestic or international universities.
4. Preference will be given to applicants with management experience in Fortune 500 companies or well-known consulting firms, work experience in international organizations, as well as outstanding investors or successful entrepreneurs.
5. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant teaching achievements, including teaching awards, development of high-quality courses, textbooks in tech-integrated business fields, and others, and those actively engaged in the tech-integrated business ecosystem.
