Fu introduced the history and core mission of Xinhua. He emphasized that Xinhua is committed to highlighting HIT’s accomplishments in scientific research and talent development, sharing HIT's story with a global audience, and fostering deeper cooperation in areas such as think tank initiatives, technological advancement, and ideological and political education.
On behalf of HIT, Chen and Han expressed their gratitude for the long-term care and support that Xinhua has extended to the university's development. They presented an overview of HIT's historical legacy, educational distinctiveness, and developmental accomplishments. They highlighted that since the formal signing of the cooperation framework agreement in 2023, both parties have engaged in collaborative efforts across various domains, including research reporting, international communication, and talent exchange.
Building on the existing collaboration, they expressed hope to further deepen, elevate, and broaden the partnership. By leveraging HIT's strengths in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), HIT and Xinhua aim to explore innovative models for overseas higher education. This cooperation will focus on major events, key timelines, and significant activities, with a particular emphasis on cultivating specialized journalism talent in areas like AI. Relying on HIT's disciplinary advantages, they plan to jointly establish a think tank with a strategic focus on technological innovation, conducting forward-looking research. Additionally, by integrating their respective strengths, they seek to innovate the content and methodologies of ideological and political education practices.
