Students and faculty from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) achieved outstanding results in the third National College Student Career Planning Competition, which also served as the final of the 13th Heilongjiang Provincial College Student Career Planning Competition, winning a total of 13 gold, seven silver, and four bronze awards.
The event was hosted by Heilongjiang’s Education Department, and jointly organized by the Heilongjiang University Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center, Northeast Forestry University, Heilongjiang University, and Heilongjiang Institute of Construction Technology.
HIT’s golds were secured across all competition categories, with both the number of gold awards and the total award count ranking first among all universities in the province.

Zheng Yu, an undergraduate (class of 2023) from the School of Future Technology, won gold in the Higher Education Group of the Growth Track.
Zhu Kelei, an undergraduate (class of 2023) from the School of Aeronautics; Zhang Yining, an undergraduate (class of 2024) from the Faculty of Computing; and Rong Xu, an undergraduate (class of 2023) from the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, won golds in the Higher Education Group of the Growth Track.
Zhao Junyang, an undergraduate (class of 2023) from the Shenzhen campus; Lyu Guodong, an undergraduate (class of 2023) from the Faculty of Computing; and Liu Xinyuan, an undergraduate (class of 2023) from the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, won golds in the Higher Education Group of the Employment Track for undergraduate students.
Liu Peng, a doctoral student (class of 2025) from the Shenzhen campus; Jiang Xinyang, a master's student (class of 2024) from the School of Energy Science and Engineering; Dong Jintong, a master's student (class of 2023) from the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation; Li Pinmou, a doctoral student (class of 2025) from the School of Mechatronics Engineering; and Yang Bang, a doctoral student (class of 2024) from the Shenzhen Campus, won golds in the Higher Education Group of the Employment Track for graduate students.
Wang Fang, deputy director of the Student Affairs Department and director of the Career Guidance Center, won gold in the Higher Education Group of the Curriculum and Teaching Track.
Additionally, 20 HIT faculty members received Outstanding Instructor Awards.

HIT has attached great importance to the competition since its launch. Over the four-month competition period, the university meticulously organized and mobilized participation, with a team of experts from both within and outside the province providing multiple rounds of guidance to the participants. Through one-on-one coaching, simulation exercises, and thematic lectures, students were guided to establish scientific concepts of career planning, supported in the continuous improvement of their professional abilities, and better equipped to achieve the competition's goals of promoting learning, teaching and employment.
