Andrei Korol, president of Belarusian State University, led a delegation to visit Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) on March 17. Liu Jian, the school's vice-president, welcomed them in person.

Liu noted that HIT and Belarusian State University have established a solid foundation for cooperation in institutional building, personnel exchanges, and academic interactions, with strong complementarity in their respective strengths.
He expressed hope both sides would take pragmatic measures to foster synergy, jointly cultivate outstanding innovative talents with international perspectives, and contribute educational strength to deepening the China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership.
Korol acknowledged the positive role of the cooperation between the two universities in promoting talent cultivation and cultural exchanges. He said cultural ties between Belarus and China are increasingly close, with educational cooperation serving as vital support for bilateral relations.
He hoped both sides would engage in deeper and higher-level collaboration in key disciplines, aiming to set an exemplary model for university cooperation between Belarus and China.
During the visit, Korol and his delegation toured the HIT Museum and the HIT Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
