Liu noted that, as member universities of the University Network for Research Collaboration: A Belt and Road Science and Technology Initiative (iUNRC), HIT and USM share aligned goals and strong potential for collaboration in areas such as resource sharing, education, and research.
He expressed hope that the visit would further advance cooperation in key disciplines, broaden collaboration, and develop more high-achieving, innovative graduates with a global outlook, contributing to stronger ties in higher education between China and Malaysia.
Wahab said that HIT is a trusted strategic partner of USM and emphasized the solid progress the two institutions have achieved in academic exchanges and joint student programs. He expressed hope that both sides will further strengthen regular exchanges and expand collaboration in areas such as joint laboratories, interdisciplinary research, and high-level academic visits, working together to support the Belt and Road Initiative and promote regional development.
During the visit, the delegation toured the HIT Space Museum, the Space Environment Simulation Research Infrastructure, the indoor sports complex, and the warm corridor.
