The 2025 China Aerospace Foundation Awards were presented at the opening ceremony of China Space Day on April 24.
The awards recognize individuals and teams for their contributions to major aerospace projects, fundamental research, key technologies, the application of research outcomes, science communication, and international cooperation.
Professor Zhang Xinghong of the School of Astronautics at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), along with alumni Wu Siliang, Zhang Chongfeng, and Hu Haiying, received the Qian Xuesen Outstanding Contribution Award. A total of 12 alumni, including Ma Guojun, Liu Xigang, Hou Pengju, Peng Zhiyong, and Wei Zizhong, received the Aerospace Contribution Award. In total, 18 people received the Qian Xuesen Outstanding Contribution Award and 145 received the Aerospace Contribution Award this year.
