Sergei Shcherbakov, deputy chairman of the presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB), led a delegation on a visit to Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) on April 27. HIT Vice-President Liu Ting met with Shcherbakov and his delegation.

Liu noted that HIT and NASB have a strong foundation for cooperation and have established a multi-level, broad-based partnership framework, marked by frequent faculty exchanges and mutual visits. He expressed hope that both sides would strengthen coordination through practical measures, continue to deepen cooperation across various fields, and produce more outstanding scientific research achievements, thereby contributing to the advancement of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Belarus in the new era.
Shcherbakov praised the achievements of bilateral cooperation and stated that NASB is willing to take this visit as a new starting point to establish a regular expert exchange mechanism with HIT, regularly organize academic conferences and exchange activities, and jointly build a new engine for regional cooperation.
Following the meeting, Liu and Shcherbakov jointly attended the opening ceremony of the China-Belarus Science and Technology Forum on Electronics and Information, where they delivered remarks.
