Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) and Renmin University of China jointly hosted the second Frontier Academic Symposium of Chinese Intellectual System in Management, with support from the journal Management World.
Liu Yanhui, deputy secretary of the CPC Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission at HIT, and Xuan Tianying, Party secretary of the Business School at Renmin University of China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.
Scholars from universities, research institutes, and academic journals across China gathered for discussions on Chinese approaches to management studies, technology-oriented business education, and the transformation of business education in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).

Liu noted that in recent years HIT has promoted the integration of management studies with AI, advanced manufacturing, and emerging industries, while exploring new models of business education that support China's innovation-driven development strategy.
He expressed hope the symposium would serve as a forum for more dialogue on Chinese management practices, emerging academic trends, and international scholarly exchange, providing intellectual support for organizational transformation and governance innovation in contemporary China.

Xuan hoped that as this year marks the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), universities would strengthen collaboration in advancing management research and business education reform.

Ma Tao, dean of the Business School at HIT, chaired the plenary session. Keynote speeches were delivered by Management World magazine's President Liang Yangchun, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics' Party Secretary Wei Jiang, Sun Yat-sen University Professor Zhang Junsheng, Lanzhou University Professor Wu Jianzu, Shandong University Professor Tang Guiyao, Sichuan University Professor Zhou Guichuan, and Tianjin University Professor Zhang Min.

During the symposium, the third Northeast China Forum for Business School Deans was also held. Participating scholars exchanged views on AI-driven business education reform, university-industry collaboration, and interdisciplinary research.

The Frontier Academic Symposium of Chinese Intellectual System in Management aims to promote management research and practice in China, strengthen academic exchange among Chinese scholars, and encourage research grounded in China's management experience. The symposium also seeks to foster collaboration among universities, researchers, academic journals, and industry, contributing to the modernization of corporate governance and the development of Chinese management scholarship.
