The National Publication Fund Planning and Management Office has announced the review results for the 2026 National Publication Foundation-supported projects.
Three projects submitted by Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Press – Aerospace Advanced Technology Research and Application Series (Phase III), Robotics Advanced Technology Research and Application Series (Phase II), and Conjectures and Problems That Have Influenced the Mathematical World (Phase II) – comprising 44 books in total, were all selected. The number of selected projects ranks first among university presses nationwide (tied).
Aerospace Advanced Technology Research and Application Series (Phase III) (15 volumes) leverages the top disciplinary advantages, strong talent reserves, and major project experience of HIT and other universities and research institutes in the aerospace field. Oriented toward national major project needs, it covers aerospace advanced mechanisms, spacecraft orbit and trajectory optimization, spacecraft intelligent control, navigation and guidance, and other areas. It aims to summarize, refine, and disseminate China's original and cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements in the aerospace field, providing theoretical support and technical solutions for technical problems in the aerospace field.
Robotics Advanced Technology Research and Application Series (Phase II) (10 volumes) aligns with international academic frontiers and responds to the urgent demand for robotics technology from major national projects. Based on the cutting-edge scientific research achievements of HIT and other institutions in the robotics field, it deeply analyzes the basic theoretical framework and core common technologies of advanced robots, covering micro-scale, field, medical, and other scenarios. It helps solve problems related to unstructured environmental perception, and breaks through performance bottlenecks in traditional mechanical structure design. The various core technologies involved can help China build a complete robotics industrial ecosystem.
Conjectures and Problems That Have Influenced the Mathematical World (Phase II) (19 volumes) covers multiple branches of mathematics, including algebraic geometry, algebraic number theory, and mathematical analysis. It reflects the outstanding contributions made by the authors in world-famous mathematical conjectures. It serves as a supplement, expansion, and deepening of the Phase I content.
To date, HIT Press has had a total of 25 projects and 476 books supported by the National Publication Foundation.
