Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) kicked off the new semester on Aug 27, with undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students enrolled in 2026 arriving at all three campuses.

President Han Jiecai and his team visited the registration desks at each school and department, and went into student dormitories and dining halls to have warm exchanges with new students and their parents.
He encouraged the students to cherish the rich resources and broad platforms provided by the university, focus on mastering professional knowledge, and integrate personal aspirations into the broader picture of the nation's development.
The team also visited orientation staff members and the volunteers in red hats, inspected the prepared welcome gift packages from each school and department, and urged relevant units, volunteers, and staff members to provide thoughtful, dedicated service for the new students' registration.
