These days, we have decided to launch the 2017 Annual Postgraduate Sports Festival for all the postgraduates in HIT, in order to improve the physical quality and health level of our college students and create a healthy and harmonious campus culture atmosphere. We wish our postgraduates can be inspired to pursue excellence and unceasingly surmount themselves through this festival. With a healthier body and full energy, they can actively be buried into their study and the research work, contributing their strength to the construction of centurial top university which is characterized as “Chinese characteristics, world-first-class and HIT spirits”. The following is specific arrangements:

For all graduate students, we carry out the rich sports activities organized by the Graduate Department and each school. If one wants to participate in it, one can enter their name through their school, department center, task group, class, community, club or individuals. The following is the plans of the activities:

(A) Attach great importance to the construction of health culture of graduates

We will carefully plan the activities, actively encourage both the tutors and graduates to participate in them, and improve the organization security, personnel protection and logistical support, so as to create a healthy atmosphere and strengthen graduates’ health awareness and develop their good health habits.

(B) Create a healthy and harmonious campus culture atmosphere

The rich and varied sports activities will show the good spirit and vitality filled with morale of graduates. All the postgraduates can enhance the sense of competition and collective cohesion and cultivate a harmonious relationship with classmates and teachers through this chance. Let us exert our enthusiasm to participate in the sports activities, making sports become a fashion among HIT students.

(C) Build multi-dimensional platform and promote construction systematically

We should closely integrate the various types of sports activities with graduate laboratories cultural construction, team building, graduate culture and brand building. We will endeavor to organize regular activities in every activity group, class, party branch, department sharing similar interests, forming a good situation of activity brand.

(D) Establish a long-term mechanism to enhance the physical quality of graduates

In close connection with the characteristics of graduate students, we will vigorously promote the construction of various postgraduates' sports associations and clubs. Propelling the high participation of tutors and basing on the cross-communication needs of graduate students, we carry out a serious of cross-departmental activities and improve institutional mechanisms in a variety of ways, so as to fully meet the needs of graduate students and lead the sports activities in a branded and long-term way.
