About HIT
Founded in 1920, Harbin Institute of Technology is a nationally recognized multi-disciplinary research and teaching institution spanning three provinces—Harbin Campus (Heilongjiang), Weihai Campus (Shandong) and Shenzhen Graduate School (Guangdong). HIT is a charter member of China University Union (C9); its core strengths continue to be Scientific Research and Engineering Technology, with strong faculties in Management, Liberal Arts, Economics and Law. HIT is well on its way towards achieving the goal of being a world-class university.
About Program
The Summer School International program will run from July 3 to 28 in 2017. This program offers a wide variety of English-taught courses in cultural studies, literature, economics, international relations, as well as Chinese traditional physical exercises and sports. It also provides Chinese language courses for beginners.
All courses will be held at HIT campus. Students will receive an official transcript and earn academic credits from us and many students can transfer these credits back to their home universities upon completion of the program.

We also offer the complimentary Chinese culture experience activities, which include Chinese
painting, Chinese cuisines, Chinese paper cutting, traditional culture lectures.
City exploration
We will lead you to visit the interests of places in Harbin, such as, Sun Island, Central Street, Baroque Style Street, Kanto Ancient Lanes.
Seminar on “One Belt, One Road”
You will further understand the development of “One Belt and One Road” and the basic theory in management consulting and policy analysis, systematic specialized knowledge.
About Living at HIT
HIT has two International Student Dormitories and two hotel-style dormitories, each a modern high rise building with a convenience store, tailor shop, laundry, study room, small meeting room and 24-hour service desk. Two bedroom suites accommodate 2-4 students and include a kitchen and shared European styled bathroom with 24-hour hot water and a western toilet and shower. Each bedroom is equipped with two single beds, desks, chairs, lamps, and bookshelves. All suites are wired for both cable TV and the Internet.
HIT’s main campus, nestled within the bustling and vibrant Harbin community, features many leisure and recreational facilities including a library, activity center, gymnasium, tennis courts, basketball courts, running track, soccer field and ice rink as well as restaurants, cafes, and dining halls. You will also find on campus for your convenience a full service supermarket, several banks, a transportation ticket office, photocopy shops, photo shop, bookstore, post office, optician and more. Many community amenities are only steps away and numerous public transportation stops are located at every gate to the campus.
