In order to improve students’ innovative spirit and research ability and to enhance the academic atmosphere, we endeavor to guide undergraduate students to carry out academic research by providing a platform for them to display their knowledges and exchange views on their research results. Due to the overwhelming success of the first session of the Academic Forum for Undergraduates Majoring in Economics and Management at Harbin Institute of Technology, a second session of the Academic Forum for Undergraduates Majoring in Economics and Management of Harbin Institute of Technology will be held in April, 2018. All undergraduate students majoring in economics and management are encouraged to submit papers.
There are three categories for papers’ submission: the academic paper, the report of practice survey and the case analysis report.
Papers may stem from the following:
• Subjects of scientific research work from supervisors which they participated in based, on discipline.
• National College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship program or projects approved in their freshmen year.
• Exploratory research from areas of student’s interest.
• Special research and social practice based on national conditions, conditions of the people and conditions of the school.
• Cases from internships or practicums.
Topics for the paper should be original, combining the era backgrounds. It should feature academic research value, veritable and reliable data, a complete structure and correct format, smooth writing and normative diagrams. It should contain 3,000-7,000 Chinese characters. For the specific requirements for the format refer to the paper submission template for “Academic Form for Undergraduates of Harbin Institute of Technology”. (See appendix).
The forum will be organized as a formal academic conference. The contents of the forum will include expert reports, excellent paper presentation, panel discussion, review and summary. According to evaluation results, certificates will be issued and a collection of the papers will be edited. We will encourage and assist high-level papers for submission to the relevant academic journals.
In order to promote the academic level of the forum, we will carry out the discussion and exchange on the thesis writing by calling for professional teachers to provide targeted counseling and training. The specific dates will be announced later.
The deadline for paper submission is December 31, 2017.
An electronic version of papers is required, two in both doc. and pdf format. The following is the acceptable format for submission: Author’s name and the title of the paper. It should be sent to hi-square@hit.edu.cn with author contact information. The email subject should be第二届经管类本科生论文投稿 (second session Academic Forum for Undergraduates Majoring in Economics and Management of Harbin Institute of Technology) plus the Author’s name. Please follow the above guidelines when submitting the paper. Failing to do so will result in the paper not being accepted. If there is any question, please contact: 86402261, teacher Song.
