August 11 to August 13, the investigation group of Indonesian government scholarship program visited our school. The group includes Zakharias Giay, the Papua's Minister of Human Resources in Indonesia, Natalia who is in charge of the Scholarship and education fund of Papua, as well as Chen Honghui, the director of Beijing Language and Culture College in Indonesia.
Vice President Ren Nanqi welcomed Indonesian guests warmly, introduced to them our university's history, arrangement of discipline, and the research strength, as well as explained them the curriculums taught in English and the teaching resources in related majors. At the end of the meeting, Vice President Ren Nanqi on behalf our university extended his warm welcome the Indonesian students supported by the government scholarships to pursue study in our university.
After that, the investigation group had a close look at HIT’s International Students Center, International Students’ dorm, the library, the gym and students’ dining hall. Then the visiting group paid a visit to School of Engineering of HIT and its laboratories. Dean Fan Feng and Vice Dean LV Dagang made a general introduction to School of Civil Engineering and gave a detailed answer to the investigation group’s questions about English class related to the program.
The visiting was accompanied by Vice Dean of International Students Center, Li Xiaohong.
