From Sept. 19th to Sept. 22nd, the HIT delegation, led by President WANG Shuguo went to North Korea to celebrate the 65th Kim Il-sung University Anniversary, and visited the Kim Chaek University of Technology.
On Sept. 20th, President WANG Shuguo attended the 65th Kim Il-sung University Anniversary celebrations, and delivered a congratulatory speech. CHENG Zili, the President of Kim Il-sung University, met with our delegation separately and signed the intercollegiate cooperation agreement with HIT during the anniversary celebrations. Furthermore, at the International Symposium held at the anniversary, Professor WU Linzhi and Professor YE Qiang respectively delivered special academic reports in the Physical Science Group and Economics and Finance Group.
On Sept. 21st, HONG Ruixian, President of Kim Chaek University of Technology, met with the HIT delegation during their visit to the university, as well as the related university laboratories. During the visit in the North Korea, the HIT delegation had a communication and discussion with the two universities on professional counterparts and departmental personnel, reaching a consensus on the project of sending students to HIT studying for a doctorate and postdoctoral.
Members of the delegation also included LI Bingxi, Deputy Director of the School of Energy and Resources, FAN Hongbo, Director of International Cooperation Office and ZHENG Mingdong, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Office.
