On the morning of Sept. 30th, a conferring ceremony was held in Conference Room 503 of Administration Building to award IEEE Life Fellow Dr. Stephen Winston as Advisory Professor of HIT. Assistant President XU Dianguo issued the letter of appointment to Professor Winston.
XU Dianguo expressed his welcome and congratulations to Professor Winston,as well as his wishes to conduct in-depth academic exchanges on Professor Winston’s latest research results with him, in hope that Professor Winston’s extensive work and research experience can broaden the academic vision of HIT teachers and students.
Professor Winston said he was very pleased and excited to come to HIT and to be appointed as Advisory Professor. In addition, he expressed his willingness to take this opportunity to establish long-term cooperative relationships with more HIT researchers, and to make a contribution to the development of Communication Technology and Information Science of HIT.
The ceremony was hosted by ZHANG Zhongzhao, Dean of School of Electronics and Information Engineering. The Distinguished Professor CHEN Xiaohua from School of Electronics and Information Engineering read Professor Winston’s resume. Assistant Dean GU Xuemai and Professor MENG Weixiao also attended the ceremony.
