From Oct. 16th to Oct. 22nd, HIT Vice President REN Nanqi paid a visit to Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) and Kyungpook National University (KNU) in South Korea, ascertaining the bilateral symposiums with the two universities and joint projects in training doctoral students.

The Vice President REN Nanqi met with the President HAMM In Suk of GIST and the Vice President YANG Bong Ryull of KNU respectively, and visited the related laboratories of the two universities as well.

During the visiting, the Vice President REN Nanqi also attended the Third World Congress of ISWA held in Daegu, and delivered a special speech.

According to the QS evaluation of 2010, per capita SCI citation index of GIST ranked the tenth in the world, as well as the first in Asia. Since the interscholastic cooperation agreement signed between HIT and GIST in 2010, this is our first visit to the university.
