HIT’s Joint Construction of the First Green Eco-building in China’s Cold Area

Invited by Polytechnic Institute of Turin, Polytechnic University of Milan, Technology University Delft and Technical University of Munich, MEI Hongyuan, Professor from School of Architecture and Architectural Design Research Institute in HIT, along with his delegation went to visit Europe.

During the visit, a consensus with Technical University of Munich was reached: MEI Hongyuan group and the famous Thomas Herzog Office agreed that the joint design of green eco-building would be finished in January, 2012, and the construction would be started in April, 2012. This program is China's first green eco-building in cold area. Meanwhile, Mei Hongyuan was granted the Honorary Visiting Professor by Polytechnic Institute of Turin. His personal works exhibition was held in the showroom of Valentino Castle, in which sit the School of Architecture, Polytechnic Institute of Turin.
