Vice President ZHOU Yu Meets with His Counterpart of Kochi University of Technology

On Sep. 23th, Vice President ZHOU Yu met with Vice President Kazuhiko SAIGO from Kochi University of Technology and his delegation.  

ZHOU first expressed his warm welcome to his guest. He said that since the establishment of friendly cooperative relationship, the two universities had been actively promoting exchange programs on the administrative level and among students. These efforts had seen great progress, which had played constructive role in the development of both universities. He hoped that the two universities would continue to strengthen cooperation and exchange and realize co-development. Vice President Kazuhiko SAIGO, also expressed that his university had always attached great importance to the cooperative relationship with HIT and he hoped the two universities could deepen cooperation and exchange. 
      
Professor JIA Dechang from School of Material Science, and professor GAO Yunzhi from School of Chemistry Engineering also participated in the meeting.  

During the stay, the Japanese delegation visited HIT Museum and Special Porcelain Laboratory, as well as exchanged ideas with teachers from School of Chemistry Engineering. 

Kochi University of Technology, located in Takayama County, was established in 1997. It is featuring with engineering. It has a total enrollment of 1000 students and 353 teachers. Its main courses include systematic engineering, environment engineering, Information studies, engineering school and school of management. It has 8 majors for post graduates and 3 doctural majors. HIT signed its memorandum for student exchanges with Kochi University of Technology in June 2010.
