On the morning of Dec. 2nd, Vice President REN Nanqi met with Professor Kadowaki and his party of three from Niigata University in Japan, and awarded the letter of appointment to him as the guest professor of HIT.
REN Nanqi extended warm welcome to the arrival of Professor Kadowaki, and expressed congratulations to his award of being appointed to be the guest professor in HIT. He also said that as an internationally prestigious professor in the field of bromatology, Professor Kadowaki's cooperation and exchange with HIT Food Science Department would be of great importance to the development of HIT.
Professor Kadowaki expressed his great honor and happiness to be a guest professor in HIT which could inspire him to contribute more for the academic exchange with Food Science Department in HIT.
Award Ceremony was presided by LV Xiaowei from International Office. ZHANG Lanwei, the Dean of Food School and Associate Professor YANG Lin also attended the meeting.
As the director of the Food Science Center in Niigata University of Japan, the Vice Section Chief of Natural Science Institution, the President of Japanese Amino Acid Society, and the Consultant of International Amino Acids Association, Professor Kadowaki has engaged in the researches of functional food development and physiological regulation function for a long time. Besides, he has broad knowledge in the development and research of functional dietary protein. Splendid research achievements have been made especially in applying rice protein to regulate the organism’s physiological functions and preventing common habit nutrition diseases. So far, he has published over one hundred major works.
