From December 12th to December 17th, 2011, with his delegation, HIT Vice President ZHOU Yu paid visits to Nagoya University, Kochi University of Technology, JFCC, etc. to bring about some cooperation on strengthening academic exchanges and sending students studying in Japan.

During visiting in Japan, our delegation respectively met with Nagoya University vice president Watanabe, Kochi University of Technology president Sakuma, JFCC minister Imai Shu. After the meeting, our delegation also visited their laboratories and communicated with some members from suited majors and departments, as a result, they got to know the information about educating internationalization of Japanese universities, bringing about some cooperation on strengthening academic exchanges and sending students studying in Japan. During the visiting, our delegation had an informal discussion with the postgraduate students studying in Japan sent by HIT to know about their study and life in Japan.

During the visit, vice president ZHOU Yu was invited to delivered a special lecture titled “The Development of Higher Education and Scientific Research in China”, as well as a report on ceramic in Kochi University of Technology.

The members of our delegation included HIT (Weihai) president FENG Jicai, director of Dean Office SHEN Yi, Library Chief WANG Tiecheng, vice president of Graduate School MA Guangfu, professor ZHANG Zhonghua from School of Astronautics, professor JIA Dechang from School of Materials Science and Engineering, and International Office vice president ZHENG Mingdong.
