December 15th, 2011, Vice President REN Nanqi met with Dr. Bharat Raj Pahari, Dean of Institute of Engineering, Nepal Tribhuvan University (TU) and his delegation.
In the course of the conversation, the delegation praised HIT for its remarkable achievements in science research, education and especially contributions to the development of China. The two parties exchanged opinions in continuing furthering cooperation in the field of new energy resources and environmental protection and made an agreement in implementing concrete programs.
Tribhuvan University (TU), established in 1959, is the oldest of the five universities in Nepal. In October, 2011, HIT State Key Laboratory for Urban Water Resource and Environment signed with TU Institute of Engineering the “Memorandum of Understanding on Joint Research Plan for Environmental Protection & New Energy Exploration Technologies”.
