Vice President REN Nanqi Meets with Guests from UC Berkeley and University of Queensland

On Dec. 30th, 2011, HIT Vice President REN Nanqi cordially met with Steven E Lindow, the academician of United States National Academy of Sciences,President of United States International Society for Microbial Ecology (ISME), and professor of UC Berkeley (University of California, Berkeley), as well as YUAN Zhiguo, the Director of Advanced Water Management Centre of the University of Queensland.
 
REN Nanqi showed a warm welcome to the guests’ visit, and gave them a brief introduction about the general information of HIT. The guests spoke quite highly of the achievements of HIT, and the contributions HIT made to the development of China. During the meeting, both sides had academic exchanges on the development of microbial ecology, as well as the issues on wastewater management in the field of environmental science and engineering. UC Berkeley, ranking the first of the world in the field of environmental science and engineering, has a good cooperation with HIT.
