HIT Wins Harbin IUR Collaboration Award

March 2nd, the Harbin Industry-University-Research (IUR) Cooperative Innovation Conference was held at the Harbin Friendship Palace Hotel where Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) accepted the Harbin IUR Collaboration Award on behalf of awarded units. ZHANG Hongtao, School of Science and Technology Study’s Vice Dean, ZHAO Guangbo, School of Energy Science and Engineering’s Dean, and ZHAO Qingliang, School of Municipal and Environmental Engineering’s Vice Dean, attended the conference.
 
The Harbin Industry-University-Research Cooperative Advancement Association (HIURCAA) was founded in 2011 as a means of developing local industry-university research. In its inaugural year, it established seven committees specializing in advanced composite material, biomedical research, energy conservation, environmental protection, animal biological products, automotive electronics, and automotive high polymer material. Currently, HIURCAA has more than one hundred and forty members and WANG Shuguo, President of HIT, serves as honorary president and HIT is the vice presidential unit.
 
HIT focuses on serving the local economy by keeping industry informed of its latest research discoveries. It partners with hundreds of Harbin companies and institutions via joint ventures, technology transfers, and collaborative research and development. Numerous HIT research innovations have been implemented by Harbin industry, improving its domestic innovative ability, technological competitiveness, market responsiveness, and modernization, contributing to the development of high-tech industries like Bo Shi (http://www.boshiyiqi.cn) and HIT Aurora Optoelectronics Technology (http://www.aurora-sapphire.com). HIT is vital to the Harbin and Heilongjiang Provincial economies.
