March 28th, in Apartment 11 (A11), the Apartment Manager and eight graduate students provided practical apartment management training for students. While the Apartment Manager demonstrated the work, he told students, “When cleaning the study room, wipe the desks and chairs carefully to leave no dust.” After the demonstration, students took the initiative to practice the cleaning on their own.

Recently, the Apartment Center transferred the management of public service centers to students. Groups of students are now responsible for daily cleaning, room reservations, and activity planning. In addition, students are involved in apartment management activities, such as assisting at the front desk and delivering newspapers. YANG Liyan, the A12 Student Accommodation Manager, suggested that students could self-organize to watch their favorite TV shows in the TV room on holidays. She also encouraged students to reserve the conference room for discussions or forums.

This program has been previously carried out in A15, A17, A01 A02, B07 and B02. Some apartments also organize students to set up cultural centers, where students teach calligraphy, painting and musical instruments, as well as providing exam preparation.
