HIT International Student Center Director Assistant YANG Yi, participated the 30th anniversary of CET Academic Programs with a congratulatory letter from HIT President WANG Shuguo.
CET Academic Programs is a study abroad organization of Academic Travel Abroad to design and administer innovative educational programs for the North American university students abroad since 1982. CET offers semester and summer study abroad programs to participate in language and culture education and training in China, the Czech Republic, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Tunisia and Vietnam, as well as short-term, customized programs worldwide. It is now preferred by North American students to study abroad with 30 years' history. HIT has cooperated with CET since 1988, which is one of the first Chinese-Foreign cooperation in educational programs in China.
CET Harbin Program becomes a unique intensive language program to with the efforts of HIT and CET to attract elite students to study in HIT. Every semester and summer, 20 to 30 students from North America come to HIT to study Chinese language and experience culture, including Harvard University, Yale University, Cornell University, Stanford University, University of Washington, and Carleton University. They study Chinese and complete their project work to gain the credits in HIT, which can be recognized by the American University. HIT arranges flexible, practical and effective teaching model and excellent Chinese roommates, which are widely welcomed by the US students and highly appraised by the CET headquarter.
Currently, in addition to CET, HIT strives to create more high-end Chinese learning, professional research, internships for Europe and US students by multi-channel communication. HIT also endeavors to gain national support by applying for the special fund of China Council on Sino-American Cooperation in Humanities and Social Sciences.
