June 8th , The Association of MBAs (AMBA) delegation visited HIT to accrediate the MBA and EMABA programs of HIT School of Economy and Management (SEM). With careful preparation, the SEM successfully achieved the accrediation from the AMBA.
The AMBA delegation includes the AMBA Chairman Andrew Locke, Vice-Chancellor of Kingston University Martin Jones, the chief expert of AMBA and professor of School of Management in Zhejiang University Wang Chongming, as well as the AMBA Certified service Manager and Fulbright scholar of Emory University George Iliev.
June 8th , HIT President WANG Shuguo, Vice President DING Xuemei welcomed the AMBA delegation and introduced the general situation of HIT as well as the SEM. They shared opinions on the development of the SEM in the future. After the reception meeting, the AMBA delegation was also invite to visit the HIT Museum and Library. June 8th afternoon, the AMBA delegation accrediated all the aspects of MBA and EMBA programs of the SEM.
June 9th morning, Vice President DING addressed on behalf of HIT in the accrediation report meeting. Vice Dean of the SEM YE Qiang reported the strategy, mission and vision, teachers, scientific research, international cooperation, MBA and EMBA programs of SEM. The AMBA delegation talked with the SEM employer and teacher representative, as well as MBA and EMBA students and alumni in the colloquium. The AMBA delegation spoke highly of the SEM and agreed SEM achieved the accrediation.
The AMBA is the international impartial authority on postgraduate business education. It is the most authoritive international accreditation system for MBA and EMBA programmes at 190 schools in over 70 countries. The SEM of HIT improves international status and competitiveness by the accredation from the AMBA. The SEM of HIT also gains more cooperative opportunities, with other schools achieving the AMBA accredation, such as mutual recognization of credits and so on.
