Vice President SUN Heyi meets with Russian Guests

On the morning of July 6th, Vice President SUN Heyi met with Korshunov Sergey, the Vice President of Bowman of Moscow State University of Technology and the Russian Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU), and Karavaeva Evgeniya, the Principal Assistant of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Chief Executive officer of Russian Elite Consortium of Colleges and Universities.

Sun expressed warm welcome to the visiting delegation, and gave a high appraisal of the traditional affiliation between the two elite schools, Bowman of Moscow State University and Lomonosov Moscow State University, and Harbin Institute of Technology. Sun pointed out that the two well-known technical universities were significantly strategic companion of HIT to cooperate and communicate with, and also showed his expectation of pushing on the collaboration in aspects of Scientific Research, Meritocrats Training, Educating and Exchanges under the concerted effort from all the 3 universities.

During the meeting, Korshunov Sergey expressed appreciation of the endeavor HIT made in the progress of establishing and developing the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities(ASRTU), and he showed his wish for expanding the scale of collaboration and communication between HIT and Bowman of Moscow State University of Technology via the assistance provided by ASRTU. Furthermore, Karavaeva Evgeniya introduced the basic situation of the Russian colleges and universities as well as their strong desire for teamworks together with Chinese higher education institutions.

The Director of International Office FAN Hongbo, together with the Director of International Students Center, Gu Jianzheng also attended the meeting.
