September 25th, Assistant to the President XU Dianguo met with visiting professor Joachim Bauman, Deputy Director of the Electronics and Information Materials Research Institute of TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. Director of the International Office FAN Hongbo and professors from School of Materials Science and Engineering also attended the meeting.
TU Bergakademie Freiberg was founded in 1765, and it is one of the world oldest universities in the mining and metallurgy field. The university’s main research areas include Geological Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering, and Environmental Science and Engineering.
XU welcomed the guests and introduced HIT, hoping to establish a good partnership with TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Professor Bauman presented an overview of TU Bergakademie Freiberg, and expressed the wish to increase cooperation between the two schools and to carry out more exchanges in the materials science field.
