From September 24 to 26, HIT Vice President REN Nanqi and HIT International Student Center Director GU Jianzheng attended the Tenth Sino-Russian University President Forum of the Northeast China, Far East and Siberia Regions. The Sino-Russian University President Forum is an institutional education collaboration program led by the Chinese and Russian Ministries of Education.
REN, the representative of Heilongjiang universities and Chinese Chief Executive of the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU), delivered a keynote speech titled To guide Sino-Russian Top Engineering Universities and Promote Collaborations in Sino-Russian Engineering Education with ASRTU Concepts. He introduced the current situation and future plans of ASRTU, initiated by HIT and Russia’s Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and promoted ASTRU concepts.
During the forum, REN met with North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU) Rector, Evgenia Isaevna Mikhailova and Far Eastern Federal University Vice Rector for Strategic Development, Andrey Aksenov. They discussed strengthening links in talent training and scientific research, as well as enhancing their level of collaboration. Agreements to cooperate were achieved.
