September 25th, the Assistant to President XU Dianguo met with a party led by Mary·Spio, the founder and CEO of Next Galaxy Media. She was accompanied by the Cultural Consul BEI Liming from the United States Consulate General in Shenyang and Cultural Affairs official KONG Shijie from the United States Embassy in Beijing.
XU warmly welcomed the visitors and expressed gratitude for the support received from the United States Consulate General in Shenyang and the United States Embassy for the cultural activities of HIT. He also hoped to be able to have more outstanding Americans from cultural and commercial fields to visit HIT and interact with the students. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views about the development of the Information Age and the future. XU especially thanked Mary·Spio for being prepared to deliver a lecture to HIT students sharing her own experiences and viewpoints about the Information Society. Mary·Spio expressed her appreciate of the warm reception received from HIT and promised to share this memorable journey with her companies employees.
In the evening, Mary·Spio delivered a lecture titled "The Age of Innovation" to HIT students in the Zhengxin Building which was well received.
