On the morning of November 16th, the HIT Education Development Foundation held acommemorative medal presentation ceremony. Jinan Urban Construction Group donated 400,000 yuan to the Foundation for scholarships, teaching awards, international exchanges and cultural development in the School of Transportation Science and Engineering. In recognition of this donation they were presented with a commemorative medal and certificate by HIT Vice President ZHOU Yu. Deputy Director of the Jinan Municipal Public Bureau XIU Chunhai, Dean of the School of Transportation Science and Engineering HOU Xiangchen and Secretary of Party Committee WU Guofang also attended the ceremony.
The Ceremony was presided over by Deputy Secretary-General of the Foundation and Deputy Director of the Office of Alumni Work GUO Junwei. Assistant President AN Shi signed the donation agreement with MU Xiaoyan, Deputy General Manager of the Jinan Urban Construction Group.
President of the Jinan Urban Construction Group TANG Jiyispoke about the development of the company as well as cooperation with the HIT School of Transportation Science and Engineering, and said the company would continue to contribute to the development and construction of HIT.
Vice President ZHOU Yu, on behalf of HIT, thanked the Group for their donations and support for education.He recalled the long history of exchanges and cooperation between HIT and the Jinan Urban Construction Group, and hoped that the School of Transportation Science and Engineering would make full use of the donation in personnel training and scientific research.
