November 30th, the CEO of the VOLVO Group China TONG Zhiyuan and a delegation visited HIT. HIT President WANG Shuguo, Vice President GUO Bin and Assistant President LIANG Yingchun met with them and discussed cooperation on personnel training and research and development. People in charge of Daqing Joint Venture of the VOLVO Group, the HIT Recruit Students Employment, and HIT Industrial Technology Research Institute also attended the meeting. The Volvo Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, construction equipment, and drive systems for marine and industrial applications.
President WANG expressed warm welcome to the VOLVO Group delegation, and briefly introduced HIT. He said that HIT attached great importance to comprehensive quality training and combination of theories and practice, and developed many talents in many areas including vehicle engineering, mechanical design and manufacturing automation, playing an important role in China car industry. He highlighted HIT had many research projects related to the car industry, so we were glad to support the VOLVO Group in terms of technology and personnel, and hope to establish a long-term, stable collaboration relationship with the VOLVO Group.
The CEO of the VOLVO Group China TONG Zhiyuan briefly introduced the VOLVO Group and its project in Daqing. He put forward five suggestions: to collaborate in developing excellent graduates; to take advantage of welding, materials, electronics and other fields to develop new techniques in advanced manufacturing technology; to cooperate in developing independent brands in new product development; to work together in solving technology quality problems; to seek new ideas and directions in developing and promoting the relevant industries in new energy vehicles.
